The Craft Disciplines

An educational look at the technical embroidery methods, patient handcrafts, and intricate threadworks executed inside our atelier.

Openwork Lace

Twine Cutwork

Twine Cutwork is an elaborate embroidery technique where portions of the fabric threads are cut away, and the remaining gaps are bound together using fine buttonhole stitches and structural embroidery threads.

This process creates an airy, geometric, or floral lace-like grid. Executed primarily on natural linens, organic cottons, and tissue organzas, it results in comfortable, breathable sarees and kurtas that feel lightweight and visually striking.

  • Time-intensive layout drafting & hand cutting
  • Signature reinforced edges that prevent fraying
  • Exquisite transparent mesh visual effect
Translucent Silhouettes

Shadow Work

Shadow Work is a delicate embroidery technique executed on the reverse side of semi-transparent fabrics, such as organza, mul chanderi, and fine georgette.

Using a closed herringbone stitch on the back, the colored threads cast a soft, frosted shadow-like tint onto the face of the fabric. The edges of the design on the front are then traced with fine stem stitches, creating a beautiful dimensional silhouette.

  • Soft pastel and watercolor floral visual effects
  • Intricate reverse herringbone stitching
  • Commonly applied to custom organza sarees & kaftans
Artisanal Heritage

Hand Embroidery

The soul of our collections. Our hand embroidery is executed by skilled artisans, utilizing traditional needle techniques passed down through generations.

From traditional chikankari motifs to fine satin stitching, kantha, and zardozi accents, hand embroidery captures detail and character that cannot be replicated. Each piece requires weeks of patient work, making every outfit a unique collector's item.

  • Meticulous hand framing & thread tension control
  • High-quality silk, cotton, and metallic threads
  • Distinct, unique handwork signatures on each piece
Precision Structure

Machine Embroidery

Complementing our handmade techniques, machine embroidery provides structured borders, repeating geometric patterns, and clean structural details.

This method ensures visual consistency for heavy borders, cuffs, and corporate collections. Combined with hand-stamped blocks or cutwork margins, it delivers premium, modern silhouettes suitable for everyday elegant wear.

  • Flawless pattern replication and symmetry
  • Durable structures that withstand regular wear
  • Perfect for geometric border panels and unstitched necklines
